I was priviledged to stay with a Hatian family in Haiti who showed me around and taught me Hatian customs. Photos are not taken there usually. Tourists aren't welcome. It's a dangerous country.
I have a diary written about my travels in Haiti. I hope to publish it along with my other diaries. Please email me if you are interested in these photos or diaries, especially if you have an art gallery in New York, where I live now. If you have travelled to Haiti before as a foreigner, I'd love to hear about it.

Stealing Souls
I wasn't able to buy any carrots from her cause the water is bad and was told to only eat fruits with a rind that you can peel off. I also didn't get a chance to give her any change for taking her photo because I was in a moving car. She shot me a nasty look and I think I paid for the "Petra" energy later when I had diarrhea for 2 weeks anyway. She's a powerful, beautiful, strong woman and I will always cherish this photo. I only pray she knows I'm thankful for it. Hopefully my photos will help her country in some way, not harm it.
Babime's mother's house

Jacmel Beach
As you can see, Jacmel beach is spotless. No garbage. No tourists. Someone tried to rob me
